Genesis offered reunion deals

The former stars of Genesis have been offered a number of big money deals to reform, according to guitarist Steve Hackett. Hackett insists he is in favour of bringing the band back together for a reunion tour, and has always said yes when he has been approached, but the final decision rests with the other members, including Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford.
The musician insists he still hopes a comeback will be possible, telling Billboard.com, “I’m always up for it – I’ve always said that publicly. Every now and again there’s an approach and then I find myself saying yes and finding it doesn’t really go anywhere…
“I think it would be wonderful, extraordinary, but you’ve got to get everyone to say yes, it seems to me – or at least two guys to say ‘yes’ and hope that everyone else will follow… We do see each other from time to time, and inevitably I’m always bumping into the guys with just the amount of ceremonies alone we get invited to.”
