George Clooney slams cheating speculation

George Clooney has shot down rumours suggesting he’s cheating on his girlfriend Stacy Keibler. In Touch Weekly editors reported on Wednesday (29May13) that the Ocean’s Eleven star had been spotted cozying up to a former flame, Croatian model Monika Jakisic, in London over the weekend (25-26May13), while the former wrestler was in Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix.
A source even told the publication, “They seemed to be having a great old time together. He didn’t seem to care who saw them. He was being openly affectionate.”
However, the typically laid-back actor is furious about the allegations and has taken the unusual step of issuing a statement to clear up the erroneous claims.
It reads: “The story is made up. I wasn’t holding anybody’s hand. Stop trying to sell magazines by creating scandal that isn’t there.”
Clooney, who is on location in the U.K. filming The Monuments Men, was previously linked to Jakisic in 2007.
He has been dating Keibler since July, 2011.
