Glee writers to be honoured at Just for Laughs

Co-creators Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy will share the Comedy Writer of the Year prize at the event in Montreal, Canada next month (Jul10).

The trio, who first imagined the musical programme as a film, write all the show’s episodes together.

Get Him to the Greek actor Aziz Ansari will receive the Breakout Comedy Star award, while Community star Donald Glover will take home the Rising Comedy Star honour.

Members of the improvisational comedy troupe Second City will accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on their 50th anniversary.
