Gosselaar and Muniz race for charity

The former Saved by the Bell star and actor-turned-race car driver Muniz were among the participants who got behind the wheel on Saturday night (23Jul11) to hit the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California as part of the second annual Kids Against Cancer Night.

The drivers, including Scream’s Skeet Ulrich and The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight, were challenged to complete the 15-lap race without causing any damage to their cars – and each successful racer would earn $2,500 (£1,560) for the sick children’s cause.

Gosselaar explains, “Frankie Muniz is a professional race car driver and actually him and I were racing this weekend. It was all for charity, it was for Kids Against Cancer so if we brought the cars home safe and sound, there was $2,500 on each car. There were 10 racers. So if we all brought the cars back, $2,500 (each) for Kids Against Cancer, and we brought them all back safely.”
