Gwyneth Paltrow accused of being a ‘backstabber’

Gwyneth Paltrow was accused of being a phony “backstabber” by writer and comic Julie Klausner.
At the second season premiere of her Hulu show on Tuesday (12Jul16) the creator of Difficult People claims the actress is – like most of Hollywood – fake.
Julie stars in the show she wrote alongside comedian Billy Eichner as two struggling New York comedians who hate everyone. Award-winning comic Amy Poehler produced the show’s first season, and Empire star Gabourey Sidibe has a recurring role.
When interviewed on the red carpet for the season two premiere, New Yorker Julie shared her candid views about Hollywood’s A-list, and in particular Iron Man actress Gwyneth.
“They pretend that they are (all great friends), but the stuff that is said about people behind the scenes is really terrible,” she told PageSix.com. “Well — Gwyneth Paltrow — there’s many a tale to tell. All kinds of backstabbing.”
The comic wasn’t forthcoming on specific details of Gwyneth’s alleged wrongdoings, but she continued, “She’s into (Eastern therapy) cupping now — maybe she’s cupping instead of backstabbing.”
The words could have come straight from the mouth of her character Julie Kessler, who doesn’t have a good word to say about anyone.
The critically acclaimed show has been compared to cult TV hit Curb Your Enthusiasm. It was rejected by USA Network after the pilot aired, but was then picked up by Hulu, who aired the first season in 2015.
Julie has shared her views on the Goop mogul before, and in March (16) she tweeted: “Click here to witness the chemistry between Gwyneth Paltrow and Jimmy Fallon AKA the comedy version of ammonia and bleach!”
