The Brokeback Mountain star recently joined Grylls for an adventure trip in Iceland, and the action man admitted they experienced the worst storms he had seen in a decade on the televised trek.
Gyllenhaal refused to let the bad weather get in the way of the activities, and joined in with all the challenges Grylls offered up, even eating a creepy crawly as he adapted to the survival lifestyle – proudly declaring: “First worm!”
Gyllenhaal’s Man Vs. Wild adventure will air on America’s Discovery Channel on Monday (11Jul11).
