Harrison Ford lands two iconic characters in movie poll top three

Harrison Ford has cemented himself as one of the greatest movie stars of all time after his two most iconic characters come in first and third in a new poll.
Indiana Jones tops the Total Film Magazine Greatest Movie Character of All Time list, while Ford’s beloved Star Wars hero Han Solo lands third place, behind Batman, who has been portrayed on the big screen by Ben Affleck and Christian Bale, among others.
Ford’s Solo will not be back in a Star Wars capacity after the grumpy character was killed off in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but he is planning to head back to cinemas as Indiana Jones one last time.
The all-action archaeologist will be returning for a fifth movie, to be directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2020.
Meanwhile, Solo will live on in an upcoming Star Wars spin-off prequel, directed by Ron Howard. Alden Ehrenreich will take on the character as a young man.
Sigourney Weaver is the highest actress on the Total Film list – her Alien heroine Ellen Ripley comes in at four, while superspy James Bond is fifth.
Late actress Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia also makes the top 10, as does Robert De Niro’s Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver, Sir Anthony Hopkins’ sinister Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Red Dragon, and Sir Ian McKellen’s Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
