Head of Britain’s Channel 4 to “cross the pond”

One of Britain’s top TV executives has been lassoed by Barry Diller to become president and CEO of USA Entertainment Group. Michael Jackson, who has served as CEO of commercial broadcaster Channel 4 since 1997, told Britain’s Guardian newspaper that he is quitting his $760,000-a-year job because he had achieved all of his goals at the television network. “It was a question partly of what I would do next,” he said.
