Helen Mirren to Receive AARP Lifetime Achievement Award

Helen Mirren will be honored with a lifetime achievement award from AARP the Magazine.

The Queen actress will be feted with the Career Achievement Award on 5 February (18) at the Movies for Grownups Awards, which will be televised for the first time on PBS on 23 February.

“I am greatly honored by this award,” she says. “I consider film to be a high art form, that informs, inspires, and entertains. It is the ultimate mirror up to nature. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that culture, both as performer and audience.”
