Hollywood producers win restraining order after death threats

The married couple, who have worked with Spielberg on films including the Indiana Jones series and The Color Purple, claim Bret McDonnell left several phone messages at their offices last month (Jul12), warning Marshall was going to die.

The moviemakers also allege McDonnell referenced a “suicide” note for Kennedy, and further claim he threatened the lives of various children, according to TMZ.com.

The U.S. website reports the producers were granted a three-year restraining order against McDonnell on Tuesday (14Aug12). He is prohibited from coming within 100 yards (91 metres) of them and their company, as well as various film studios.
