How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, Holiday Inn, Meet Me In St. Louis and 1938’s A Christmas Carol have been named the “freshest” holiday films in a new Rotten Tomatoes ranking.

The new ‘nice’ list was put together as part of a Christmas countdown for digital video service FandangoNOW’s 36 Essential Holiday Classics, and seven movies scored 100 per cent among the film critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Miracle on 34th Street

Mickey’s Christmas Carol, 1940 film classic The Shop Around the Corner, and Toy Story That Time Forgot also landed top marks, while Paddington, the original Miracle on 34th Street, 1991’s Beauty & the Beast, It’s a Wonderful Life, Arthur Christmas, and The Nightmare Before Christmas all featured in the 90 per cent ‘fresh’ category according to Rotten Tomatoes reviewers.
