Inside Llewyn Davis scoops two awards from Toronto critics

The Coen Brothers’ latest movie Inside Llewyn Davis has been awarded two top prizes by Canada’s Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA). Joel and Ethan Coen’s story of a folk singer living in New York City’s Greenwich Village in the 1960s scooped the trophy for best picture while Oscar Isaac took the best actor award.
Alfonso Cuaron was named best director for his space drama Gravity, and Cate Blanchett took the best actress award for her role in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine.
Actor/musician Jared Leto won the best supporting actor honour for his part in Dallas Buyers Club and Jennifer Lawrence was named best supporting actress for American Hustle.
Spike Jonze’s digital love story Her won best screenplay.
The 2013 TFCA Awards will be presented to the winners at a ceremony in Toronto, Canada on 7 January (14).
