Jackie Earle Haley joins Preacher cast as villainous Odin

Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley is trading one comic book role for another after signing on as the depraved villain in Seth Rogen’s highly-anticipated Preacher TV series.
Mamma Mia!’s Dominic Cooper will tackle the lead role of Jesse Custer, a troubled Texas preacher who attempts to track down a God who has left heaven and forsaken his duties, and now Haley is onboard to play sick foe and Ku Klux Klan member Odin Quincannon.
Preacher, based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s 1990s comic series from DC Comics imprint Vertigo, has been a passion project for Rogen and his producing partner Evan Goldberg for some time, and the show is set to debut in May (16) on U.S. network AMC.
Ruth Negga, Lucy Griffiths, and Joseph Gilgun also feature in the forthcoming series.
