Country star Jake Owen was hospitalised on Sunday night (07Jul13) after suffering minor injuries in a go-karting accident. The Barefoot Blue Jean Night hitmaker was racing U.S. professional drivers Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer on a closed course when he crashed his vehicle and had to be transported to a medical centre for treatment.
The singer posted a photo of himself in a neck brace on Twitter.com early on Monday morning (08Jul13) and wrote, “In the ER (Emergency Room)… What a way to end the weekend.. Got in a little go kart accident tryin (sic) to beat @KevinHarvick & @ClintBowyer. I’ll stick to singing country songs.”
