James Bond producer teams with Love Actually director for Paralympics documentary

James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and Love Actually director Richard Curtis are joining forces to produce a documentary all about the Paralympic Games.
The production will centre on the history of the Paralympics, which currently serve as the world’s third largest sporting event. It will also feature the stories of some of the athletes who compete.
Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedgui are set to direct the film, while U.S. paralympian Tatyana McFadden and former International Paralympic Committe boss Xavier Gonzalez will serve as executive producers.
“This will be a uniquely important film whose time has come. We hope it can be an agent of change in so many ways,” Broccoli said in a press release.
Set for release next summer (20), the film’s debut will coincide with the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
