James Corden & John Krasinski make fun of their lost movie roles

Funnyman James Corden and actor John Krasinski poked fun at their ‘lost movie roles’ during a skit on the Brit’s U.S. late night show on Wednesday (24Aug16).
In recent days, John revealed he missed out on playing Captain America, while Corden explained he was in the running to take on Jonah Hill’s role in new movie War Dogs.
And when the two stars met up on The Late Late Show on Wednesday, they joked about getting cut from other great films, including Pulp Fiction, Gone With The Wind, and A Few Good Men.
In a hilarious seven-minute skit, host and guest recreated famous movie moments with themselves as the stars, telling viewers they’ve been working together for years and years.
Corden made his big reveal about War Dogs earlier this month (Aug16), when the film’s director Todd Phillips was on his show, explaining he auditioned alongside Shia LaBeouf a day after the Transformers star was arrested for disrupting a Broadway performance of Cabaret.
The Into the Woods star was supposed to audition the day before but the casting call was postponed following Shia’s drama.
“I got a message… ‘Shia LaBeouf is in jail!'” he recalled.
The screen test with Shia, which was shown on The Late Late Show, was a disaster and neither of the actors were offered the roles that eventually went to Hill and Miles Teller.
