James makes TV comeback

The reality TV star, who first gained popularity on longrunning series West Coast Choppers, will appear on American Chopper Live – The Build-Off on America’s Discovery network for a two-night run beginning on Monday (05Dec11).

And James hopes the project will help him re-establish his reputation among fans, who took aim at the the mechanic in 2010 for cheating on The Blind Side beauty during their five-year marriage.

He tells the New York Daily News, “For the last five or six years, I don’t think people know what the f**k I do. They think, oh, he’s famous because he married Sandra Bullock. They don’t know what my skill set is. Maybe it’s about reminding people.

“There’s going to people who hate me no matter what I say or do. I can’t let those people dictate anything. I just to have focus on the positive and on the stuff I can control, and focus on people who want to see stuff made and some skills. There’s a more achievable approach than trying to make a difference to f**knuts who watch Oprah or some s**t like that.”

And James admits if all goes well, he’ll be launching his own show about building things people “would want to take home” on the U.S. network in the coming months.
