James McAvoy: “I’d love to make more X-Men movies”

James McAvoy has made X-Men fans’ day by revealing he has no plans to quit the franchise, and neither does pal Jennifer Lawrence.

The two stars appeared in the last two X-Men movies and reprised their roles for X-Men: Apocalypse, which hits cinemas later this year (May16) – and the Scot, who plays the young Charles Xavier, hopes there will be many more blockbusters.

And, despite what Lawrence may have said about her role as the shape-shifting Mystique in the past, he’s also confident she’ll be back too.
During an interview with French website Linternaute, James said, “I’ve heard… people have said she’s not into it, stuff like that. She’s always said to me that she would think about it.

“I hope she does, because I love working with Jennifer. You know, we’ve been, like, an extended sort of family, in a weird way, for six or seven years now.”
The two stars first teamed up for X-Men: First Class and McAvoy would love to make more X-Men movies.
“If they want me to, I’ll do more, yeah,” he added.

The expanded X-Men cast also features Patrick Stewart as the older Xavier, Sir Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, and Zoe Kravitz.
