January Jones turned down an invitation from The Bachelor’s Nick Viall to avoid potential humiliation.
The former Mad Men actress has made no secret of her love of watching the dating program, and has previously stated that she has the hots for previous contestants including Nick and Ben Higgins.
During an interview earlier in the year (17), January admitted that she thought Nick was “pretty cute”, and in an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night (14Nov17), she revealed that he had even tried to contact her via a “buffer person” in recent months – but she isn’t certain if Nick is looking for romance.
“He asked me to battle him on Lip Sync Battle,” she said, adding questioningly, “So is that his way of asking me out or does he have a problem with me? I don’t know what that was. But I declined, as I don’t need to be humiliated.”
January added that Nick’s decision to not contact her again was telling of his character, and explained that she could never tell if she liked the TV star or if he was simply a “scumbag” when the show was airing.
“I’m so mixed. I don’t know where he stands with me,” the 39-year-old smiled. “And I think that’s why I’m attracted to him, maybe?”
Meanwhile, fellow guest Emmy Rossum divulged that she is also a big fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows and was even once part of a Fantasy League about the show. The Shameless star even became starstruck when she spotted Nick having coffee at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles recently.
“I did that thing where you try to covertly take a photo of the famous person… And in any case, I texted it to everyone I know,” she laughed.
