Jared Leto barred from taking crowd of fans into The Louvre

Jared Leto was barred from entering The Louvre in Paris on Monday (16Apr18) because he showed up at the doors with hundreds of fans.

The bearded Oscar winner and his Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmate Tomo Milicevic stunned fans when they turned up unexpectedly outside the art museum and made their way across the concourse while performing a song acoustically.

Locals and tourists quickly realised who was singing and rushed to take selfies with and photos of the actor and rocker, who stopped to say “Bonjour” and “Good to see you”.

But when he arrived at the main door of the museum he was greeted by a security guard, who informed him he would not be able to enter with such a large crowd of people.

Leto, who was wearing a beanie hat, sunglasses, Black Cat T-shirt and patterned pink leggings didn’t make a fuss and simply led the fans away.

The whole commotion was caught on camera and posted online.

The star spent a week trekking across the U.S. earlier this month to promote his band’s new album, America, and offered to shave off his bushy beard if the release hit the top of the charts.

America debuted at two behind Cardi B‘s record-breaking Invasion of Privacy on Sunday (15Apr18), giving Thirty Seconds to Mars their highest-charting album to date.
