Jared Leto Went WAY Too Far With This ‘Suicide Squad’ Prank — It’s Disgusting

Suicide Squad star Jared Leto sent sex toys, used condoms and soiled copies of Playboy magazine to his castmates.

The actor plays The Joker in the new comic book movie, in which an incarcerated group of supervillains team up to undertake a series of dangerous missions in exchange for their freedom.

To help his co-stars, who include Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne, accept him as a prank-loving bad guy, Jared sent them a variety of disgusting objects.

Asked about a previous report which suggested he’d sent a dead pig and a rat to other Suicide Squad actors, Jared told E! Online, “Don’t forget the anal beads (a sex toy) and the used condoms. I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”

Will, who plays the assassin Deadshot in the movie, confirmed Jared had behaved appallingly on set in order to get under the skin of his character.

“He went full Joker, he really set the tone,” Will said. “He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor. He was going in and he was 100 per cent going into this character.”

According to British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays the ruthless reptilian criminal Killer Croc in the film, Jared’s antics helped unify the rest of the cast, who tried to exact their revenge by returning the dead pig.

“That was a good gift because it had the effect of unifying us as a group because then it became us against him,” he said. “We sent the messenger back with the dead pig and our own personalised message.”

Adewale added that he had personally received, “sticky Playboy magazines” from his co-star.
