Jarvis Cocker: ‘Pulp won’t perform for rest of the year’

Reunited rockers Pulp are taking the rest of 2013 off after performing a string of comeback concerts over the past two years. Frontman Jarvis Cocker hinted at another hiatus at Christmas (12) when he signed off at the band’s triumphant homecoming gig in Sheffield, England by telling the crowd, “This is it, for now.”
Earlier this year (13), the Common People hitmakers released their first single in 11 years, the track After You, but Cocker insists fans will have to wait a while for any more new developments.
He tells NME.com, “That (Sheffield show) was a good concert that, it was nice. But those things, you can’t keep doing them… But Pulp won’t be playing this year.”
Pulp reformed in May, 2011 and their big reunion shows included a set at legendary U.K. music festival Glastonbury that summer (11).
