Jean Michel Jarre succeeds Robin Gibb as CISAC president

French music maestro Jean Michel Jarre has been appointed the new president of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC). The electronic music pioneer succeeds the late Robin Gibb and artist Herve DiRosa, who stepped in to carry out presidential duties when the Bee Gees star died last year (12).
Jarre’s new role was announced at the annual meeting of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers in Washington, D.C. earlier this month (Jun13).
CISAC is an organisation which unites and represents over 200 authors, musicians and artists around the world.
