Jeff Bridges ‘underwhelmed’ by R.I.P.D.

Movie star Jeff Bridges was not a fan of his flop 2013 film R.I.P.D. when he eventually saw the film adaptation of the Dark Horse comic book. The Oscar winner teamed up with Ryan Reynolds for the action comedy, in which he plays a dead cowboy who returns to earth as an afterlife cop, and although he had a blast on set,he wasn’t thrilled with the final result.
He tells GQ magazine, “I had such a great time working on that movie… I thought, ‘This could be fun to see’, and when I saw it, I was a little underwhelmed. For my mind, the studio made some choices that I wouldn’t have made.”
The movie made $33 million (£22 million) at the U.S. box office when it opened in July (13). It debuts in Britain this weekend (20-22Sep13).
