Jeff Garlin opens up about recent arrest

Comedian Jeff Garlin is upset about false reports regarding his arrest last month (Jun13), insisting the gossip is causing “stress” to himself and his family. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star was taken into custody on 15 June (13) for reportedly breaking the side window of a woman’s Mercedes-Benz with his hand during an outing in Studio City, California.
The 51-year-old father of two escaped vandalism charges and has now broken his silence over the incident during an interview with the New York Times Magazine.
Garlin refuses to discuss his run-in with the law in detail due to a pending meeting with a city official, but hinted that reports of the incident were not correct.
He said, “Look, I can’t talk about it because, even though there are no charges, I still have to meet with somebody from the city. So I don’t want to be glib about something that’s serious. But I can tell you that it’s just not sexy. And not what was portrayed.
“It was horrible being in jail, although I’m gonna have a great routine about it. But the greatest stress, for my family and myself, was that what was being written and talked about truly wasn’t true.”
