The tribe has spoken: After just one season, The Jeff Probst Show is no more. The syndicated talk show with the longtime Survivor host has been officially canceled, although it will continue to air original episodes through the end of the season, but will not return for the 2013-2014 TV year.
“I’m super bummed but extremely proud,” Jeff Probst said in a statement to Deadline. “The truth is all shows come to an end. Ours just ended a decade sooner than we had hoped.” Probst will still continue to host Survivor (Season 26 premieres Wednesday night on CBS).

“We believe Jeff is an incredible talent, and that he and his dedicated producing team delivered quality episodes throughout the season. Unfortunately, the audience isn’t there to support a second year,” a CBS TV Distribution spokesperson said. “We are grateful to the entire staff, our affiliate partners and advertisers for their ongoing support of The Jeff Probst Show.”
This is not the first male-led talk show to hit a snag recently. Anderson Cooper Live was just canceled after two seasons. However, there’s good news for female-led talk shows: Katie, with beloved anchor Katie Couric, was already renewed for Season 2.
