A shared “stalker” brought Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence together as pals.
The two actresses both received random texts from a man they nicknamed John the Orchestra Guy.
“He would text us both and say things like, ‘I’m running late on my way to the soundstage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Text me back and let me know you got this’,” Emma tells W Magazine.
“He wasn’t really a stalker. He was this guy who had a lot of people’s numbers. He must’ve worked at a studio or as an agent’s assistant or something.”
The two young Oscar winners texted back and forth for a year before they eventually met – and as they were preparing for the ‘first date’, both feared they were about to come face to face with their joint “stalker”.
“As she was driving to my house, she thought, ‘Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy?'” the La La Land star smiles. “And I thought, ‘Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy?’ So Jen calls me and says, ‘I just want to make sure you’re not John the Orchestra Guy’. I wasn’t. And we met. It’s our adorable love story.”
