Jeremy Renner donates $20,000 to Texas hospital for hurricane relief efforts

Jeremy Renner has helped raise $20,000 (£15,100) for a hospital in Texas to help with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The Avengers star launched a contest, giving away a film set visit in exchange for donations, and now he has given the money raised to Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
“As a father I can think of no better way to give back, to show support and love than to a child. I hope this donation to Driscoll Children’s Hospital on behalf of myself, my daughter Ava and my fans help ease some of the suffering and hardship that Hurricane Harvey inflicted,” he says. “Much love to you all and hoping for a very speedy recovery.”
Medical professionals had to evacuate 16 babies out of the building’s neonatal intensive care unit when the storm hit in September (17), killing 77 people.
Many celebrities, including Beyonce, Sandra Bullock, and Kevin Hart, have stepped up to help the citizens of Texas to recover from the deadly storm.
