Jerry O’Connell’s kids know all about mum’s former marriage to John Stamos

Actor JERRY O’CONNELL once endured an awkward conversation with his twin daughters after having to explain mum REBECCA ROMIJN’s former marriage to their favourite FULL HOUSE star, JOHN STAMOS.
The X-Men beauty was Mrs. John Stamos for seven years until their divorce in 2005, two years before she tied the knot with O’Connell.
Romijn and the Jerry Maguire star welcomed girls Dolly and Charlie in 2008, and O’Connell reveals he had to sit them down recently to discuss their adoration of Stamos’ Uncle Jesse character on the old U.S. sitcom, which still airs regularly on TV 20 years after the original show ended.
During an appearance on U.S. talk show Watch What Happens: Live, O’Connell explains, “I have two six-year-old girls and Full House is on Nick at Nite (cable channel), (or) on one of those shows (sic), and my children love it.
“My children, they know (about Romijn and Stamos’ marriage), because they expressed real feelings for the character of Uncle Jesse and I said, ‘You know, girls, I gotta tell you something, this is gonna sound crazy…’ I showed them photos on the Internet of their wedding… and it was a beautiful wedding and my kids really wanna know why mum isn’t still with him! (They think), ‘That was a mistake, mum.'”
O’Connell’s admission comes days after Stamos confirmed plans for a reboot of the hit series, titled Fuller House, which will air on streaming service Netflix next year (16).
