Jessica Chastain: ‘Harvey Weinstein pressured me to wear a Marchesa gown’

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein once tried to pressure Jessica Chastain into wearing a dress from his estranged wife Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa collection.
Weinstein, who has been accused of sexual misconduct or assault by more than 80 women, wanted the Zero Dark Thirty star to wear the gown to the 2013 premiere of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, which was distributed by the producer’s former firm The Weinstein Company.
However, she refused and instead wore an Atelier Versace dress, prompting Harvey to joke about going toe to toe with her at the premiere.
“He actually told the audience, ‘If I had to get in a boxing ring with Muhammad Ali or Jessica Chastain, I would choose Muhammad Ali’,” she told The Wall Street Journal.
