Jessie J moving to the U.S.

British pop star Jessie J is planning to move Stateside in a bid to crack the U.S. market. The Price Tag hitmaker is a household name in her native U.K. thanks to a string of hits and her judging role on the British version of The Voice, but the singer has her sights set on topping the American charts.
Jessie J has decided to relocate to New York or Los Angeles in the New Year (14).
She says, “I’m probably going to live there next year. At the moment U.S. labels aren’t putting out any music but by January I’m hoping to have a single in the U.S. market because I’m on tour with Robin Thicke.
“America is such a big country to break. It’s such a different market, you have to be there. I don’t like doing anything half-heartedly, so I’d rather wait till I’m in the U.S. I’d rather live in New York, because it’s more like London, but it’s easier to break in L.A. as everything is over there.”
London-born Jessie began her career writing songs in L.A. but returned to the U.K. when she began missing her loved ones.
However, this time around she has a plan for banishing homesickness: “I’d make sure I take people with me, give all my friends jobs. I was 17 when I first went, that was nearly 10 years ago. I’ve grown up a lot and realise what you have to do to make it work.”
