Jill Scott wants judge to dismiss ex’s personal item motion

Singer/actress Jill Scott wants her estranged husband to cover her legal fees in their latest dispute over the return of his personal items.
The Golden star filed for divorce from Mike Dobson, her husband of almost 15 months, last September (17), citing “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct”.
She asked the judge to enforce their prenuptial agreement and filed for a restraining order, which was granted, but Dobson fought back, seeking to have the marriage deal, which bans him from claiming any spousal support, voided, alleging he was pressured to sign it without a lawyer.
His motion was denied in March (18), but the pair has since clashed over a number of Dobson’s belongings, which he has accused Scott of keeping hold of.
She insists she’s made an effort to try and drop off his things, but he failed to respond, so she placed the items, including a copy of Prince’s Purple Rain album, in a storage facility near his new home in Atlanta, Georgia, and sent him the key.
However, Scott maintains Dobson has yet to collect his belongings, and is refusing to pay for the storage unit, leaving the musician to pick up the bill, reports TMZ.com.
She also takes issue with his demand that she return five lavish bathrobes, because Scott claims her ex stole them from a hotel, and she ended up having to pay for them.
She is requesting the judge dismiss his request for the return of his personal affects, and make him pay for her attorney’s fees regarding the new legal back-and-forth.
