Jim Carrey’s ex remembered back home on death anniversary

The family of Jim Carrey’s tragic ex have held a private memorial for the makeup artist on the first anniversary of her suicide.
A mass was held for Cathriona White in her native Tipperary, Ireland, on 24 September (16), and only family members and very close friends attended.
“They just wanted to keep it quiet and dignified, which they did,” a source tells People. “Cathriona’s name was read out by the priest and the mass offered for her.”
The solemn ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Cappawhite, where Cathriona’s funeral mass was held last year (15) after she took her life following a break-up with her famous boyfriend.
White passed away from a prescription medication overdose in September, 2015.
The memorial in Ireland came days after her estranged husband, Mark Burton, filed suit against Carrey, claiming the funnyman was responsible for White’s death, because he supplied her with the drugs she used to kill herself.
Carrey had previously said White took the drugs from him without his knowledge.
In an amendment to his suit last week (ends23Sep16), Burton also alleged Carrey gave White several sexually transmitted diseases during their relationship.
The Dumb & Dumber star shot back at the latest allegations, stating: “Is this the way a ‘husband’ honors the memory of his ‘wife?’ The real disease here is greed, shameful greed!”
Carrey has denied the allegations made by Burton.
