S Club 7 stars Jo O’meara and Paul Cattermole filed for bankruptcy prior the British band’s reunion, according to a U.K. report. The Reach hitmakers announced they will be reuniting as a seven-piece earlier this month (Aug14) following their split in 2003.
Despite touring with two other members as S Club 4, Cattermole and O’Meara declared themselves bankrupt within seven days of each other in May (14), when discussions of a reunion first began.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “Both Jo and Paul have found it especially tough financially after S Club split… they didn’t make a great deal of money from the band originally and their own solo projects didn’t exactly turn out profitable.”
