Veteran actress Joan Collins is marking her recent 80th birthday with a new role on U.K. sitcom Benidorm. The Dynasty star celebrated the milestone last Thursday (23May13) but she is refusing to slow down and revealed to fans on Tuesday (28May13) that she is heading back to the small screen to play a character called Crystal – the same name as her former TV nemesis, played by Linda Evans.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “Looking forward to going to Spain to be in Benidorm. And I’m playing Crystal yes I am!! But not the Dynasty one.”
Benidorm, which focuses on fictional tourists at the popular Spanish holiday destination, debuted in 2007 and has already racked up five seasons.
