John Coltrane’s life works to feature in new Grammy Museum exhibit

The career of jazz icon John Coltrane is set to be celebrated with a new exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
Rare footage and audio recordings of the late musician will go on display in the new long-term show, titled, Chasing Trane: John Coltrane’s Musical Journey Transcended, which will also feature handwritten manuscripts, instruments, and other memorabilia.
The exhibit is set to open to the public on 17 November (17), and remain live until next September (18).
The launch of the new museum addition is designed to coincide with the DVD and soundtrack release of the film Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary, which will also hit retailers next month (Nov17).
Coltrane died in 1967, aged 40.
