John Mellencamp & Stephen King musical heading out on tour

Rocker John Mellencamp, producer T Bone Burnett and horror author Stephen King are set to take their supernatural musical Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County on the road during a tour of the U.S. this autumn (13). The trio has been working on the production for 13 years, after Mellencamp told the It novelist about a cabin on his estate in Indiana, where two brothers became embroiled in a fight over a girl, leaving one sibling dead. The surviving brother and the woman died in a car crash shortly afterwards.
King turned the haunting tale into a play and asked Mellencamp and Burnett to help score the piece.
Ghost Brothers of Darkland County made its debut onstage in Atlanta, Georgia last year (12), and now it is heading out to play to audiences across America.
The production will begin in Indiana in October (13), and will touch down in states including Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.
