Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad will portray Truman Capote in a film about the late screenwriter’s infamous 1966 Black and White Ball.
Party of the Century will centre on the masked ball, thrown in honor of American publisher Katharine Graham, which brought together celebrities and dignitaries including Frank Sinatra, Henry Fonda, actress Tallulah Bankhead, the Maharani of Jaipur, and the Italian princess Luciana Pignatelli.
Jack O’Connell and Chloe Grace Moretz will also star in Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman’s film, which is scheduled to start shooting in New York later this year (17).
“Our film is a delicate balance of worlds converging at a pivotal moment in time,” a statement from Pulcini and Berman reads. “Jack, Chloe and Josh are brilliant performers who can embody these worlds while bringing the electricity and pathos required to make the story fly.”
