Joss Stone: ‘I feel sorry for murder plot pair’

Soul singer Joss Stone feel sorry for two men who plotted to kidnap and murder her, insisting their long prison sentences are “horrible”. The You Had Me hitmaker was left stunned in June, 2011 when cops smashed a conspiracy to snatch the star from her countryside home in south-west England, decapitate her, and throw her corpse in a river.
Two men – Junior Bradshaw and Kevin Liverpool – were convicted of conspiracy to rob and murder earlier this year (13) and were sentenced to 18 years and life behind bars respectively
However, Stone is adamant she pities the men and their families, and insists a “positive” came out of the case as it prompted her to get guard dogs at her home.
She tells Sky News, “I know it’s odd for people to understand but nothing happened to me at all… I see there’s some positive for me but for them it’s horrible – now they’re going to be inside for a very long time.
“I think if they had done it it would be a different feeling – obviously, I’d be dead… (But) I feel sorry for them and I feel sorry for their parents as well… In this instance, it didn’t happen so I’m not a victim of this crime. But what about their parents? They have now received a call saying ‘Your son wanted to murder somebody’. Why does nobody ever talk about that?”
