Judge Joe Brown released from jail

American TV personality Judge Joe Brown has been released from prison after he was jailed for contempt of court in Memphis, Tennessee on Monday (24Mar14). Brown became angry after Juvenile Court Magistrate Harold Horne refused his request to dismiss a child support case.
Horne initially handed Brown 24 hours in jail for being in contempt of court but the sentence increased to five days as the star continued to argue with the magistrate as he was led from the courtroom.
However, Brown was later released from jail on his own recognisance by another judge hours after entering the Shelby County prison.
Speaking upon his release, Brown told local news channel WREG, “I’m a little hot under the collar. In 40 years, I’ve never seen such a circus as they’ve got down there.”
