Actress Abigail Breslin has been ordered to pay her former assistant his final month’s salary after reportedly firing him for no reason.
Michael Helms filed suit against the Little Miss Sunshine star after she let him go on 4 August (17) and allegedly told him he wouldn’t receive his pay cheque for his July (17) invoice.
According to TheBlast.com, the case was heard in a small claims court in Van Nuys, California on Wednesday (18Oct17), but Breslin was a no-show, prompting the judge to rule in Helms’ favour.
Breslin, 21, must now pay her former employee $3,590 (£2,720).
The former child star has yet to comment on the decision.
