Julia Louis-Dreyfus has completed a second round of chemotherapy as she continues her battle against breast cancer.
The actress announced via social media that she had been diagnosed with the disease in September (17), shortly after she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in TV show Veep.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday (19Oct17), Julia shared that she has now finished a second round of chemotherapy, and cited a lyric from Katy Perry’s 2013 tune Roar as a major source of inspiration.

“Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT f**king around here. “I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and your’re going to hear me ROAR (sic)”,” the 56-year-old captioned a light-hearted photo of her wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses as well as a fake moustache drawn on her face. “Thanks to @mrtonyhale& @timothycsimons & @katyperry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.”
Following news of Julia’s cancer diagnosis, she has received support from fans all around the world, with former Vice President Joe Biden, her Seinfeld co-star Jason Alexander and comedienne Sarah Silverman all reaching out.
