Julie Bowen: ‘Sofia Vergara had a dehydration station at her wedding party’

Actress Julie Bowen has opened up about pal Sofia Vergara’s lavish nuptials in Florida, revealing the bride hired medics to give dehydrated party guests an intravenous drip.
The Modern Family star was among the guests at the Palm Beach wedding in November (15), and she admits she was floored by the lengths the bride went to to cater for everyone.
“If you’ve ever been to a Sofia event, it’s three days,” Bowen told U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
“It’s like a slow-moving trolley; you jump on, you drink and you dance and then you jump off. You can’t stay on the trolley for three days. It’s a party train. It’s insanity. And it’s really fun.”
But it was the medical station that really impressed Julie, as it served to help those who were wasted on alcohol.
“It was crazy. You had to hydrate,” the actress said. “They had a little ambulance truck, an IV station where you could go get IV hydration.
“I thought somebody had had a heart attack or there was an event, because there was this first aid truck set up outside of the pool area where all the bungalows are. And there are people, sipping espresso, getting IV rehydration.
“There is nothing, apparently, nothing you can do in three days that can’t be undone by some IV rehydration.”
Vergara, 43, previously told pal DeGeneres, who had to turn down her wedding invite, that her Modern Family co-stars were all “tipsy” at the party, which continued until 6am the morning after the ceremony.
Julie Bowen’s chat with DeGeneres aired on the host’s U.S. daytime show on Monday (08Feb16).
