FAST & FURIOUS franchise director JUSTIN LIN was honoured for his career with a handprint ceremony on Wednesday (03Jun14).
The Taiwan-born moviemaker imprinted his fingers and palms in cement outside the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on the venue’s 88th birthday.
Also honoured with a handprint at the event were Chinese screen stars Zhao Wei and Huang Xiaoming.
Lin told the Hollywood Reporter he had to break off from shooting the new Star Trek film in Canada to attend the ceremony, saying, “I’m just getting started as a filmmaker, so to get this call – it’s a great moment to take the morning and enjoy it with good friends and family. I literally flew down from Star Trek for this and I have to get back to work right after.”
