Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson split

Australian country stars Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson have separated after eight years of marriage. The solo singers, who joined forces to record two albums together, have been living apart “for some time” but have vowed to remain on good terms for the sake of their children.
A statement posted on the former couple’s joint website reads, “Sadly we announce that Kasey and Shane have mutually decided to separate. They have been living apart for some time now, however they remain close friends and have a strong family unit. Please respect their privacy with this matter as there will be no further comments.”
The stars married in 2005 and have two children together, Poet Poppin, 18 months, and Arlo Ray, six, while Chambers also has another son from a previous relationship.
Chambers and Nicholson shot to fame separately but merged their personal and professional lives by recording chart-topping 2008 album Rattlin’ Bones together, as well as last year’s (12) Wreck & Ruin.
