Model Kate Moss has been added to the cast of the Love Actually update.

Director Richard Curtis has regrouped his leading men and ladies from the beloved, star-studded 2003 romantic comedy for a short film that will air as part of Britain’s Red Nose Day TV telethon for Comic Relief on 24 March (17), and Moss will join the likes of Liam Neeson, Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, and Keira Knightley for the fun.

The British supermodel made her feature-length film debut in last year’s (16) Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie – Moss was thrown in London’s River Thames by Jennifer Saunders‘ crazy character Edina.
Curtis’ Love Actually catch-up will also air on NBC in America on 25 March (17).

The original movie featured one of Kate’s supermodel peers – Claudia Schiffer played a love interest for Neeson‘s recently widowed character.

The new film won’t feature Emma Thompson, who agreed with Curtis that it would not be fun to bring back her character without her cheating husband, portrayed by the late Alan Rickman.

Thompson, who played Karen in the 2003 film, recently told Press Association, “Richard wrote to me and said, ‘Darling, we can’t write anything for you because of Alan‘, and I said, ‘No, of course, it would be sad, too sad’. It’s too soon. It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really only just over a year ago.”

Rickman died in January, 2016, aged 69.
