Kathy Griffin took to the witness stand on Thursday (04Jan18) to testify in her ongoing legal battle with her neighbor.
The comedienne has been locked in a feud with her neighbor Jeffrey Mezger, chief executive of property company KB Home, since September (17), when she filed a restraining order against him following an altercation which began over a noise issue.
Mezger filed his own restraining order against Griffin shortly after, and they both appeared in a California court on Thursday to try and solve the matter.
According to The Blast, Kathy took to the witness stand and during her testimony, she told the court she never had any problems with her previous neighbors, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Both parties failed to come to an agreement in court so the judge decided to keep the restraining orders in place until next Thursday (11Jan18), when they need to call the judge with updates on the progress of their settlement talks.
Griffin filed the order after Mezger went on a foul-mouthed tirade at her and her boyfriend Randy Bick after they called the police to report a noise disturbance coming from Mezger’s property.
Audio of his outburst was published on the Huffington Post, and Mezger can be heard yelling, “Hey Randy, go f**k yourself. Seriously? You call on my grandkids at 9 o’clock? You’re not even the f**king owner. You’re stuck with a f**king bald dyke… Now you’re calling the cops? F**k you and f**k Kathy. You’re not our f**king neighbor, you’re a f**king a**hole.”
In his restraining order, Mezger claimed the couple had “rendered living in our home intolerable” as he and his wife Sandra felt forced to stay inside out of fear of being recorded.
