Kathy Griffin’s restraining order against neighbor dismissed

A judge has dismissed Kathy Griffin’s restraining order against her neighbor.

The comedienne has been locked in a feud with her neighbour Jeffrey Mezger, chief executive of property company KB Home, since 2016 but matters worsened in September (17) when Mezger went on a foul-mouthed tirade at her and her boyfriend Randy Bick after they called the police to report a noise disturbance coming from Mezger’s property.

She was subsequently granted a temporary restraining order against her neighbor, but on Wednesday (21Feb18), after a number of court appearances, a judge granted a motion to dismiss the order against Mezger, according to The Blast.

In response to her filing, Mezger was granted his own temporary restraining order against Griffin which banned her from recording audio from his backyard as he claimed he and his wife Sandra felt forced to stay inside out of fear of being recorded.

Following court proceedings on Wednesday, the ban still remains in place, with the judge ruling that she can only record video, and no audio, from the security camera Mezger flagged up. However, she can continue recording both audio and video from her other surveillance cameras.

A hearing into that case will take place next month, according to TMZ.com.
