Keira Knightley would ban kids from acting

Keira Knightley has vowed to ban her children from acting in their teens, insisting youngsters should spend their time drinking booze and making mistakes. The Atonement star kicked off her stage career at the age of 10, and she landed her big break in 2002’s Bend It Like Beckham, when she was 18.
But she is adamant she doesn’t want any future children to follow in her footsteps, insisting fame and fortune were hard to handle at such a young age.
She tells British Elle magazine, “I’d absolutely tell (my daughter) not to (act). I would 150 million trillion per cent be totally discouraging. Teenage years should be done privately. You should be going out and getting unbelievably drunk, getting into ridiculous situations, making mistakes. That’s what that time of life is about and we should do that privately.
“Saying that, I don’t regret it. I wouldn’t do my life any differently, but having lived through it… There was a very long time when (interviewers) were all: ‘Well, you’re a s**t actress and you’re anorexic and people hate you,’ which, for a teenager, is a very strange thing.”
