Kelsey Grammer dropped from $100 million Ponzi lawsuit

Actress Lydia Cornell and a host of other plaintiffs accused the former Frasier star of duping investors over a fraudulent venture with website Staropoly.com – by allegedly using his name and likeliness to promote the company.

Grammer’s lawyer Marty Singer blasted the group for naming his client as a defendant in the suit against accused perpetrators Alex Varanos and bosses at the website’s parent company TODHD, and he branded the allegations of grand theft and extortion “absurd” and “without merit”.

A judge in Los Angeles has now dismissed Grammer from Cornell’s lawsuit, according to TMZ.com.
